In ever larger buildings, getting more crowded by the day, building management is a major focus for managers of office, commercial and industrial sites. The aim is to allow the manager to have an overall view of the operation and automation of a building.
The data collected consists in various types:
- Alarms (failure, abnormal stop, value exceeding a threshold …);
Status (running of an equipment, position, control feedback …);
Measurements (temperature, operating time, number of breakdowns…).
Supervised equipment may include:
Power supply (low voltage master distribution panel, switchboards) including emergency supply (generators, batteries);
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC);
Plumbing (lifting pumps, tanks, etc.);
Fire prevention systems (alarms, extinction).
On the VisioMapEditor software, Visioglobe or the dedicated operator positions an identifier at the location of the sensor in the building to receive information such as temperature, availability of a meeting room … which will be retransmitted via VisioWeb or VisioMoveEssential by the building manager on their smartphone, tablet or computer.
GA has recently chosen Visioglobe’s map solution to be integrated, by MyGapeo, into their building management application. The application will allow it’s users to control a building’s roller shutters, heating, ventilation, and lighting. It will also display real time information coming from the building’s IoT sensors.
