1 — 1 map for all platform
The distinctive feature of Visioglobe’s technology is a single card for managing the web, smartphones, tablets and kiosks, thanks to the combination of a SaaS card management software, VisioMapEditor, and visualization software Visiomove Essential and VisioWeb.
2 — 2493 maps created
Over 10 years, the number of cards has increased. Developers are now creating 20 to 30 maps / month compared to 3 at the beginning. Methods used allow the industrialization of maps and help answer substantial requests.
3 — 3mb the average size of indoor map
The teams developed a lightweight map to be inserted in a maximum of platforms and to allow users to experience smooth and instant navigation.
4 — 4 days to create a map of 100 000 sqm and 100poi
In 2007 it took approximately 15 man-days to create an indoor map. VisioMapEditor, an SaaS created by Visioglobe, considerably shortens this time of creation and provides real time modifications directly on the maps.
5 — 5 investors
Visioglobe raised 1.2M € in 2009. Investors were not mistaken: the start-up celebrates 10 years this year and growth is there. Arrived on a market in the making, Visioglobe took the right decisions for today undertaking the biggest maps.
6 — 60 000 000 million monthly map interactions
In 2007 indoor cards were printed on paper, outdoor GPS was read on PDA. 10 years later, most smartphone users find their way using embedded maps. Spaces like airports, global shopping centres install applications so as to guide their customers. Paper maps, static digital maps can still be found but the future is indeed in interactive maps. Technical qualities such as readability, weight, and interactivity will make the difference.
7 — 70% of international turnover
Created in Grenoble in a Franco-French environment, Visioglobe is run by 2 globetrotters who have been attentive to requests from all over the world. Regions in strong development such as the Emirates have rightly responded, as have the United States. Asia has just entered the company fold.
8 — 8 Markets that we address : Malls, Airports, Airlines, Offices, Events, Hospitals, Museums, Universities
Emerging from outdoor cards in 2007 to address the automotive industry, Visioglobe found how to redirect its efforts towards indoor needs when it noticed how important these were. Malls and airports quickly answered to the challenge. Then came other complex indoor spaces, like offices.

VisioMapEditor is a service available on the Cloud, allowing to instantly create, modify and publish all kinds of maps on smartphones, websites and kiosks.
New features are integrated every 6 weeks, and instantly made available to all customers.
10 — Years
Over 10 years, Visioglobe employees have helped their company to be recognised worldwide for the quality and design of its maps, as well as for its reactivity. The coming 10 years should see the emergence of new modules in SaaS, as well as a stronger and stronger focus on the design and UX of the products. Visioglobe is no longer a start-up owing to its Board and seniority, but remains agile and proactive for its customers, always aware of new developments and need in terms of ease of access.
