Le geofencing est une technologie qui utilise le GPS ou la RFID pour créer des limites virtuelles autour d'une zone géographique spécifique, permettant aux logiciels de déclencher des actions ou des alertes lorsqu'un appareil entre, sort ou reste dans cette zone.
1. Check the installation area
Before placing anything, look at the area where the kiosk will physically be installed, and check how the routing path is drawnnearby.
2. Position the icon
Place the kiosk icon at the correct position on the map. It should be located near the main routing path — ideally directly above it.
3. Add an ID
Select the icon and add an ID to it (for example, B2-UL000-kiosk01 ).
4. Add a POF
💡 Pro tip
If you click + next to POF and nothing appears, the POF layer might simply be hidden. Make it visible from the display panel.
Still on the selected icon, add a POF (Point of Focus) by clicking on the + located under the "ID" field in the left-hand menu. ThePOF defines the direction the kiosk's screen is facing — think of it as the eyes of the final user standing at the kiosk.
5. Create the kiosk's routing access
⚠️ Important
To match the initial navigation instructions given to the user (turn left/right, keep straight), the routing edges connected to the kioskmust be aligned with the angle of the POF. In other words, the paths reaching the kiosk's access node should visually pass throughthe kiosk in the same direction the POF is facing — as if they were extending from the user's eyes.
In the Routing tab, create the routing access for the kiosk.
Result
Once set up correctly, the routing edges pass through the kiosk and connect to its access node, aligned with the POF'sorientation — so the directions given to a user standing at the kiosk accurately match its physical orientation on-site.
