Definition
A transportation modality refers to a particular mode of transportation, such as pedestrian, PMRs, cars, buses, trains and so on.
In VisioMapEditor, you can define multiple modalities to allow for different transportation modes and user types.
Create a new modality
To create a new modality, select an edge and click on the   icon next to the modality dropdown.
Then, click the Add new modality button and give your new modality a name.
Attribute a modality
By default, your routing will have the Pedestrian modality selected. You can add a new modality or replace them by selecting an edge, and using the dropdown menu and checkboxes, chose which modality to attribute to the edge.
