Modalities

Definition

A transportation modality refers to a particular mode of transportation, such as pedestrian, PMRs, cars, buses, trains and so on.

In VisioMapEditor, you can define multiple modalities to allow different transportation modes and user types.

Create a new modality

To create a new modality, select an edge and click on the   icon next to the modality dropdown.
Then, click on the Add new modality button and give your modality a name.

Attribute a modality

By default, your routing will have the Pedestrian modality selected. You can replace it or add a new modality by selecting an edge, and, using the dropdown menu and checkboxes, choose which modality to assign to the edge.
